The products featured in this post were provided to me free of charge. As an Island Batik Ambassador I receive two shipments a year filled with beautiful Island Batik fabric. Included in these shipments are products from industry partners Hobbs Batting, Schmetz Needles, Deb Tucker Studio 180 Designs, Aurifil Thread and new this year, Oliso Irons. The Economy Block is a traditional patchwork block that makes beautiful scrappy quilts or a single block made large enough for a baby quilt. They’re also great fill blocks or for quilt samplers. Today I am sharing a pattern for a patchwork Economy Block as well as a template you can print for foundation paper piecing. The finished size of the block will be 6″.
