Jesus came to Earth for multiple reasons. One of those reasons was to pay the penalty for our sins, for the wrong things that we have done. One of those reasons was to make it so that we could be reunified with God and so that we could go to heaven and spend an eternity with him. However, one of the reasons that he came was to give people, to give us, abundant life here and now, life that is full and meaningful and with purpose ..read more

This weekend we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, or Easter, to commemorate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead three days after His crucifixion. Why did Jesus come to earth, live a perfect sinless life, allow Himself to be crucified on a Roman cross, and rise from the dead?
Jesus did this because He loved us so much and He wanted to provide a way for people's sins to be forgiven (1 John 4:10). And guess what, all people “have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 ESV). Jesus’ death on the cross was a sacrifice offered for all time for sins (Hebrews 10:12). His resurrection shows ..read more

Holy Week begins with Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–11), known as Palm Sunday, where crowds of people exclaimed Hosanna! They said, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” (Matthew 21:9 ESV). The word Hosanna is a plea for salvation. It literally means “I beg you to save!” or “please deliver us!” And one week later, Christ Jesus provided the gift of salvation for everyone, for all time by defeating Death, Hell, and the Grave.
As you focus on Holy Week this week, remember Christ Jesus came to save you from yo ..read more

Salvation is a free gift from God resulting from your trust that Christ Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross was sufficient payment for your sin (Romans 6:23, 1 John 1:9). Once you accept that free gift, you are born again—a spiritual birth, which makes you a child of God (John 3:1–15). During this spiritual birth, you receive the Holy Spirit as the seal of your salvation (Ephesians 1:13). God gives you Himself because the Holy Spirit is God which means the saved person has almighty God living inside them.
The Holy Spirit gives the believer a hunger and desire for the Word, which is Truth. He is th ..read more

Who has not faced temptation? We ALL have faced it one time or another. Your temptations may be different than mine, but we all face it. Temptation in itself is not a sin. It’s going past that “line” that is the sin. So what do we do to not go over that line? We rely on God. He will give you way out as we slide into it.
In 1 Corinthians 10:13
"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."

Doubt – the definition is a mental state in which the mind remains suspended between two or more contradictory propositions, and is uncertain about them. On an emotional level is indecision between belief and disbelief. It can result in delaying or rejecting relevant action out of concern for mistakes or missed opportunities.
However, for us as Christians, we should NEVER doubt God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit or the Bible.
God - He says that He would never leave us or forsake us numerous times in the Scriptures
Jesus – He told us that He goes to prepare a place for us & will come back to ta ..read more

As the 2024 presidential election season is set to begin in earnest on Monday, January 15th with the Iowa Caucuses, know that God is still in control and on His throne. Remember that Scripture teaches us in Psalm 135, the Lord does whatever He pleases in heaven, on earth, and in the seas. And the Psalm reminds us, God may remove nations, but He vindicates His people showing them compassion. In Daniel 2:21, we are told that God “changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings.”
God is the producer of this great drama, and we are His actors. How will you act during this political ..read more
