Like so many BMA of Texas Churches your Texas Missions is trying to navigate Liability and property insurance coverage. Our provider notified us of their decision not to renew us this month. The pool of possible providers continues to shrink due to the weather that has caused claims at churches across Texas these last few years. Pray for Texas Missions as we navigate this. We have heard from many of you that you are dealing with rising costs or cancelations. Pray that we can find help and resources that we can share wit ..read more

On May 3-4 the BMA hosted the annual Hispanic Men’s Conference at Daniel Springs Camp. This conference has been going on for years but I don’t believe it has ever been this well attended. There were over 150 men from 23 churches at the conference. Elvis Garcia did a wonderful job putting it on. The theme this year was Men of Conviction.
The BMA is blessed with men of conviction who are examples of meekness. These men played soccer, cut up, and took prayer, worship, and the word very seriously.&nb ..read more

I am writing this article right after experiencing the eclipse beside each of you. Wow! What an experience! We were among a thousand-plus people watching it. Across the full eclipse, there was silence. Everyone was staring at the sky as one. This ended with a sudden burst of light and with shouting and clapping. It was a moment of awe that led me to worship.
My mind rushed to another moment that I anticipate and watch for beside each of you. I long for the return of Christ. It is coming and we must be busy about His mission. Jesus ended ..read more

It is an exciting season in your Texas Missions. Your missionaries reported 35 salvations last month. They are all gearing up for Easter outreach and services. They need our prayers. We just finished up another successful audit and our staff is celebrating. You have a fine staff serving you in your Texas Missions. In 2023, 91 percent of your giving went to the mission field with only 9 percent being spent on the ministry. We are proud of this fact and thankful to God that he makes it possible. We try to be good stewards of the funds you invest ..read more

BMA Texas Missions hosted the second annual Young Intern Leadership Retreat in Lindale Jan. 18-20. It was a beneficial event. Larry Bickel, Todd West, Jerry Fulton, Brad Holcombe and I shared leadership equipping with these 12 young people. We sang, prayed, spent time in the Word and worked on ourselves while building relationships. We took a break and escaped a Tyler escape room in the middle of the retreat. We thank New Harmony for providing us with transportation.
These interns come from four BMA of Texas churches that are investing in thei ..read more

Your Texas Missions just came through our annual audits. They reveal several exciting truths.
You are providing more missionary care than ever before. You are also financially caring for more missionaries than ever before. God continues to bless and grow the BMA of Texas through Texas Missions.
You are faithful and generous to missionaries. You faithfully provide for the salaries and care of your missionaries by giving to the general fund of your Texas Missions. Their salaries continue to be provided from general fund giving. You also g ..read more

In your Texas Missions, we began 2023 with a celebration. Crosswork Church in Tahoka completed their five years of support with Texas Missions. This young church is at an exciting place. They anticipate buying their first building this year. Before that purchase, a large part of their membership will be heading to South Africa on a mission trip.
Crosswork is a mission minded church that is a faithful participant in BMA life. Mike Watt and Trevor Cowan began this church together. Jamie Hinojosa, who was ..read more

Exciting things are happening in our BMA family among our Spanish-speaking churches. We are seeing growth and health among these churches. You are currently supporting 14 Spanish-speaking missions. There are currently 24 established BMA churches among us. Some of these churches have recently joined us but some have been around 40 years. These churches are faithful and inspiring among us.
Around Houston, there has been a long and faithful fellowship of BMA churches made up of Centro de Vida network churches, churches started by Arnulfo M ..read more
