Before pursuing her teaching career, Forensic Science 1 & 2 and Chemistry teacher Brandi Venable was a registered Medical Technologist. CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS—After our mock trial team completed their UIL competition, the courtroom artist, senior Reagan Uhl, advanced to the state competition. On February 3rd six hornets competed in the UIL Piano soloist competition at TAMUK. All six competitors from Flour Bluff High School received the highest score of one and are advancing to state in Austin, Texas. The competitors are Meredith Gayanilo, Emily Chapa, Joey Liu, Evey Illustrisimo, Jessica Hu, and Michelle Wang. When Elizabeth Johnson was growing up, there were a few careers that took her interest. She loved animals, thought about being a lawyer, and wanted to go into nursing, but wasn’t a big fan of blood.
