Autism New Jersey collaborated with Wyndham Corporation on April 17th to celebrate individuals with autism and their families. At Riverside School in Princeton, NJ, everyone is coming together to celebrate National Autism Acceptance Month this April! The entire school community, including students, teachers, and the PTO, collaborated to create special t-shirts for the month. They chose the theme "Make It Personal" from Autism New Jersey’s Ambassador Program and designed activities for students to participate in. On April 10, Joliza Pucci held the first Au-Some for a Cause Zumba event.   The special fun-filled event had attendees grooving, partying, and sweating in an online Zumba classes lead by amazing fitness instructors from around the world.     Saturday, April 22, you could hear the bag pipes calling friends and family members of the autism community to take the plunge as a show of love and support. The ocean temperatures were a chilled 52.2, but the mood of the afternoon was warm. The Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of the Jersey Shore led the way down Ocean Ave in Belmar.      On April 25, Patrick’s Grille in Neptune City, NJ donated 20% of diners’ bill to Autism New Jersey. For the past 9 years, Anthony and Jackie Kelly have organized one of Autism New Jersey’s largest community events- their annual Spring Lake Gift Auction. The event is inspired by their 20-year-old daughter, Kathleen. Over the nine years, the auction proceeds have exceeded $200,000 donated to Autism New Jersey.
