The Lesvos 2024 team was commissioned in prayer this morning between services at Calvary. The flight leaves first thing on Friday morning, September 27th. Please remember them in your prayers. They request prayer for travel safety, travel mercies, and suitcases (carrying supplies) making it to the destination. Please pray that they have servant hearts, energy and health for the work, and God-ordained opportunities to share Jesus’ love in actions and words. Thank you for your support!   ..read more

As I type this, suitcases are being shut, travel documents are being checked, and our time overseas is coming to an end (well, except for the thirty hours of travel it will take to get us home). What’s been happening? Very shortly, we will be driven to the airport by none other than the pastor himself, along with a YFC leader, both picking us up at midnight for our 2:30 a.m. flight!

This morning we were able to wake up and spend a little time packing up while breakfast was being made. Most days our breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt and fruit. This day, however, as we packed up we were greeted by smells of freshly cooked bacon coming from the kitchen toward our rooms. This morning’s breakfast was pancakes and bacon, and it was fantastic.
