The 1968 Panini Cantanti card captured the widespread popularity of rock music. Featuring some of the earliest cards of emerging artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Cream, and The Doors. The set itself features 282 artists and 3 different backs can be found. The three back variants are Cantanti, Bisvalidia, and Dark Blue Bisvalidia. As of writing (2024) the grading companies do not label the two different color Bisvalidia backs. These cards were meant to be pasted in albums. It’s why you’ll find many low grade copies. Due to the album, these cards are also counted as “stickers” although the b ..read more

In 2002 the Coachella Music Festival used trading cards as a way to promote different artists playing over the 2 day event. Each back was identical and showed your typical concert festival lineup. Bigger acts and headliners as the top, smaller artists at the bottom. The quantity of cards printed were correlated with how high up on the lineup the band/artist was. With Bjork having the most cards printed out of all of the lineup. Bands like Queens of the Stone age had much less available.  These cards were not available as a set and were not inside packs. Rather they were orig ..read more

Drafted in 2019 with the 5th pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Darius Garland was a very hyped prospect despite suffering a major injury in his sole college year. The Cavaliers drafted Garland in the hopes of finding a replacement after losing Kyrie Irving in 2016. Paired with fellow guard Collin Sexton, Darius ultimately fulfilled the Cavaliers dreams as he ascended to near All-Star levels of play.  Darius is a point guard known for being an amazing shooter with good passing vision. It’s important to note Darius had a pretty iffy rookie season considering his draft position. Scoring 1 ..read more

Joe Namath Football Cards

Joe Namath is one of the very few players who changed the game forever. Five times he was named Pro Bowler or AFL All-Star and four times was All-Pro or All-AFL, Namath was an AFL staple. Tailed off later in his career due to knee injuries, Namath only appeared in 140 games, and had a less than ideal 173-220 touchdown to interception ratio. But his impact is still felt today. Starting from the beginning, Namath was a clear franchise quarterback prospect coming out of Alabama. Due to the NFL and startup AFL being in a war for talent, the draft for both leagues were essentially a sham and wh ..read more

Bronko Nagurski isn’t just a guy you find in some vintage football sets, he’s THE guy you want in them. Red Grange has more of a name cache to the casual fan, but Nagurski was the better player, with more expensive cards. A four-time first-team All-Pro, Nagurski was a beast. His 235 pounds made him one of the biggest players on the field, and playing fullback, was one of the faster players with it. In college at Minnesota, Nagurski was All-American on both sides of the ball as he was proficient at defensive tackle as well as fullback. Was later named into the College Football Hall of Fame ..read more

A Jerry Rice Football Card is a must for any serious Football card collector. Who is Jerry Rice When discussing the greatest football players of all time, Jerry Rice is a name that has to be included. Don Hutson has an argument to be the best receiver, but Rice performed longer against much better competition. Only Reggie White has more All-Pro appearances (13) than Rice (11) who is tied with Anthony Munoz and Bruce Smith. Rice is only behind Tom Brady (15), Tony Gonzalez, Merlin Olsen, and Bruce Matthews (14 each) for most Pro Bowl appearances as well. Yes, Pro Bowl can be a fan vote, but ..read more
