Six weeks ago my sister and I were in the Scottish islands of Orkney, Skye, Mull, and Iona. We saw sheep everywhere in the fields: white sheep, black sheep, sheep with black noses, sheep with striped legs. They looked placid and calm, but it’s a crazy process to round sheep up for shearing or shipping off to market. The sheep run everywhere, going in all directions. The Trinity Outreach Ministry Mission is To serve Christ in all people by funding and executing projects that benefit those in need locally, regionally, and across the globe. Examples include:

Trinity Transportation – A ministry assisting parishioners with transportation barriers in attending services

Here at the midpoint of the year, I want to give you an update on Trinity’s budget situation. Your Vestry has taken important and promising action since our annual meeting in February, but we are still working from the same deficit budget we presented at that time. Our financial outlook has improved, but at the cost of staff hours—for some as much as 25%—and remains contingent on meeting ambitious fundraising goals. I am confident and grateful that your Vestry and the Finance Team are leading us forward prudently, but it is going to take all of us to keep us going in this positive direction.
