But it needs some sway bar love too because otherwise this thing might lean over onto its side around a freeway on ramp. The front got custom mounts for the stock GM swaybar that came with the Topkick Chassis. In the rear it ..read more

You see folks posting all over social media about blowouts on their race trailers each week, and asking for advice on which tires everyone else uses. I can tell you that the majority of trailer tire issues come from people overloading their trailers, or running cheap car tires that are just not rated for what their trailer is. Either one is bad, but if you have the right tires on your trailer you can be set and be good to go. I have personally been running a Trailer King tire I got from Walmart on our open trailers for the past 10 years now and have never had an issue. They are speed rated, fo ..read more

Everyone is always talking about EFI nowadays, and for an entire generation of racers and hot rodders there seems to be a lack of knowledge on how to tell what your engine wants if you don’t have an O2 sensor reading to go off of. You don’t have to have an electronically fuel injected engine to have an O2 sensor of course, and I would argue that it is a great tool even on carbureted cars, but it’s also a great idea to check out your spark plugs on occasional. If you run nitrous or boost, it is a smart plan to pull the plugs and check them after a run or dyno pull or whatever just so you can co ..read more

Brake Fluid Tech: Your Brake Fluid Can Make, Or Brake, Your Stopping Experience. Pun Intended! Why Brake Fluid Matters

Hydraulic brakes aren’t a complicated system in the grand scheme of things, but little things can make them work way less than ideal. And unfortunately tons of folks “upgrade” their brakes only to find that they don’t actually work better than the stock stuff 95+% of the time. If you upgrade brakes so that they are better at the extremes, but never drive your car to those extremes, then there isn’t much point. And, unfortunately, if you don’t get all the components in the system right then you’ll likely have new brakes that also don’t work as well as the factory stuff in the everyday environme ..read more
