Three teams; Magic, Stars and Steel, went into the third round of the ANZ Premiership (ANZP) still searching for their first league win of the season, and with two of the teams, Magic and Stars, playing each other it proved a crucial time to pick up points. In a close encounter, live on NetballPass, it was the defence that proved the difference with Magic able to capitalise on their turnovers to take a marginal 52-49 victory. The Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) League dealt some nail-biters in round three with not one, but two games going to extra time live on NetballPass. The defending champions Adelaide Thunderbirds were one team put to the test, after they let their first quarter 6-17 lead fade away when Sunshine Coast Lightning made a second half come back to take the score to 50-50 at full time. Round 11 of the Netball Super League (NSL) did not disappoint with London Pulse getting their revenge on Severn Stars and Leeds Rhinos making a late charge to put Loughborough Lightning under pressure live on NetballPass. Pulse started a team full of changes with South African SPAR Protea, Nichole Taljaard, starting at wing attack and England Rose Alicia Scholes stepping in at centre. World Netball has today announced a new ITP Cadet and an extension for an official who already holds that status. Congratulations to Jackie Mizon who has been awarded International Netball Umpire Award (INUA) Testing Panel (ITP) Cadet status, and to Joel Young-Strong who has had her status as an INUA ITP Cadet extended.  Round 2 of the ANZ Premierships (ANZP) took place on NetballPass this weekend, with Tactix, Mystics and Pulse making it two wins from two whilst Stars, Magic and Steel were all left still searching for their first win creating a table of two halves in the ANZP.  The first match of the weekend saw Pulse Welcome Magic, and it will come as no surprise to the international netball family that it was once again New Zealand’s Kelly Jackson, and Maddie Gordon that made the biggest impact for Pulse. Round 10 of the Netball Super League (NSL) took place this weekend, with the international Netball Family treated to an extremely close encounter between Loughborough Lightning and Saracens Mavericks, before they were also able to watch Severn Stars push league leaders Manchester Thunder. Despite Lightning winning all four quarters of their match against Mavericks, the hosts never quite struck ahead to an uncatchable distance, as they won three of their quarters by just 1 goal.
