Due to a shoulder impingement my sewing activities are at low level at the moment. The impingement causes loss of shoulder motion and discomfort in my left arm, not a great combination with sewing.  Hello Refashion Co-op. Sometimes I get inspired by clothes I see at stores and/or on-line. I was inspired to make this men's shirt into a long kind of jacket because I saw something similar and really liked it.  Before and after. I liked this long shirt so much.    The sleeves were so long on me (I have short arms.) that I cut half the sleeve off and hemmed the end.    I added elastic inside the shirt to give it a more defined waist.  Hello Refashion Co-op. I like joggers but these denim jean joggers were a little too tight at the ankles. My ankles were being strangled. I decided to remove the cuffs so the jeans would be more comfortable.  Before and after. I removed all these stitches so I could take the elastic out and give these jeans a standard hem.  I did not realize that the cuffs were actually separate pieces. That's OK.  Hello Refashion Co-op. I really liked the linen of these pants so I made shorts by cutting off the legs. The legs were so long and wide that I thought I could make something out of that fabric too. Before and after. Cutting them off and making shorts was easy.  I cut the pant legs open and that gave me 4 linen pieces to work with.  I connected all the panels and added this wide ribbon between each linen piece.  Hello Refashion Co-op. I wanted to make a circle skirt from this round tablecloth. It was so easy and fast.  Before and after. I cut a circle in the center of the tablecloth. I tried to make this hole in the exact center so that the skirt would be even all around. I made an elastic waistband and attached it to the skirt.  This only took about half an hour to finish.
