Williams Sonoma Faves From My Own Home
Elements of Style Blog

I’ve had many partnerships over the years, and the long term partnerships that I value most are genuinely organic and bring me joy. Williams-Sonoma is one of those – not only because they have believed in me from the beginning, but because I buy and use all their goods constantly (no surprise there) regardless of any partnerships we have together. Getting ready for this shoot of my house was an undertaking, and I realized as I walked around the spaces and propped it out how much of the accents in the kitchen, as well as other parts of the house (including my all time favorite picture frames ..read more

Fashion Friday: Palm Royale Style
Elements of Style Blog

I have been watching Palm Royale and find it to be such a fantastic escape- the costumes, sets and hilarity of the cast is such a treat. Also, I’d like to know what Ricky Martin is doing to literally stay the same age forever. HOW??? And how adorable is Kristin Wiig in the cute mini dresses and big wigs? She also looks PHENOMENAL. True story- I’ve never been to Palm Beach. I may have once breezed through West Palm antiquing with my brother when he lived in Miami, but I’ve never say, been to say, the famed Colony Hotel. While the sunny, cheery bright colors and warm weather are enticing- the po ..read more

Now that Easter is behind us, we’re diving head first into spring, and even thinking about Mother’s Day gifts (you’ve got 5 weeks to shop, people!). Keeping that in mind, we’ve got a little something for everyone with this launch… New Art & Decor Erin Clark – inspired by warmer weather and a color palette pulled right from the tennis court… group 2-3 of these original paintings together in simple white frames in a powder bath or playroom! Laura McCarty – we are such fans of Laura’s original abstracted landscapes, framed in beaded antique gold frames. Statuette – we’re over the moon for t ..read more

Fashion Friday: Spring Transition
Elements of Style Blog

Here in the Northeast we are having wild swings in weather- from 65 and sunny to wet and cold. This time of year is the toughest here in my opinion, especially when it comes to dressing. We all want to pull out the spring clothes, but will likely be freezing if we do. So here is a great transition outfit I found on Saks (who is having Friends & Family right now BTW) that has pieces that will not only help you layer for early spring, but also can carry you through summer. This cardigan would look so cute thrown over your shoulder with an on trend denim dress. And speaking of denim, denim ..read more

How To Make a Bed Three Ways
Elements of Style Blog
by Erin Gates

Following the launch of my new Kassatex collection earlier this week, I asked on Instagram if there’s anything you want to know about styling/designing from me, and so many of you asked about the ‘right way’ to make a bed. When properly arranged, a good duvet and sham set is a sure way to completely transform your room to look and feel like a decadent hotel suite. Here are three combos I swear by: Bed #1 Bed number one is my favorite of the bunch because it looks SO luxurious and it’s super easy to achieve. For this combo, I used the greek key duvet, 2 king shams with greek key border, 3 euro ..read more

I am thrilled to share that my second collection with Kassatex is now available! In addition to new bedding, we expanded our partnership into bath linens and vanity accessories. Photos by Kirsten Francis. Styling by Lucy Bamman. Since I designed my first pillow almost ten years ago, I have strived to create home decor that elevates a space in a classic and timeless way, both in color palette, materials and motifs. Here’s a bit of the behind the scenes of how this collection came to be… The Color Palette For the color palette, I always look to what we use most often in our designs – neutrals be ..read more

Easter and Passover are only a few short weeks away, so we wanted to launch Part 1 of our spring collection a bit early, to make sure you have all you need for your holiday gathering tabletops. We’re so excited to launch these wavy embroidered linen napkins in neutral and olive. They work so well with our horn napkin rings, Espalier Block Print Tablecloth, and Kavya Rose tablecloth. Can’t go wrong mixing and matching with these!   This large, scalloped rattan tray is SO GOOD. As you know, I love woven baskets and trays. This one is so pretty and has added utility, with deep sides a ..read more

Fashion Friday: Day to Night Vacation Look
Elements of Style Blog
by Erin Gates

I grew up really thinking I’d need a lot more day to night looks than I do (0, to be correct)- EXCEPT when on vacation. And then it’s more of a packing space necessity- what can I wear multiple ways/ multiple times if I’m careful and don’t spill a margarita on it? I saw this chartreuse tunic dress on J.Crew and it sort of inspired this whole modern caftan look- both day and night. I also ordered it and the bathing suit too. To the pool or beach- a great long coverup you can throw on to grab lunch, but at night with the right shoes and accessories, a chic island look as well. Now to just find t ..read more
