Believe it or not, I bought this dress in 2020 and just wore it for the first time in 2024. I originally bought it thinking I would wear it for Valentine’s Day. But I ended up wearing it during Christmas last year. I am shocked that it is still currently available. That never happens! So [ Continue Reading ... ]

I’ve shared a few affordable looks for Summer on Instagram that were so popular that I thought I would also share them with you here on the ol’ blog. First up, is the underwear as outerwear trend…as in boxers. Yes, the same kind of boxers we wore back in the 90’s. Only this time, they have buttons on the fly so no need to worry about an accidental flash. I saw an individual pair being sold at Anthro for $38! But mine came in a four pack for only $17. It’s official. I’m part of the adidas Samba fangirl club. I’ll admit that I was late to the game but now I’m obsessed. My first pair was the green stripe version and then when the traditional black stripe came back in stock, I snagged a second pair!
I find that they run a little big so I went down a half size. I’m normally a size 7 and the 6.5 fit perfect. Hallelujah for half sizes, am I right?!?
I am wearing the original Sambas bu ..read more

I’m back with an exciting new collaboration! If you guessed adidas, you are correct! And it couldn’t come at a better time, if I’m being honest. I will be turning 49 in 9 days. Recently, I have noticed a SIGNIFICANT change in my body composition. Combine that with increasing perimenopause symptoms and well, it looks like your girl is going to have to start making some changes to her diet & (lack of) exercise routine.

Elevate your Easter brunch with these easy to make Easter treats! I don’t know about you guys but we are usually pretty casual on Easter and like to stay home to celebrate. My son is now twelve but he still looks forward to waking up early to see what the Easter bunny brought him. Heck, I’m 47 and still want my mom to bring me a basket!
This year, I thought I would fancy things up with a few fun finger foods. Instead of plain tea sandwiches, I used my Easter cookie cutters to cut them into bunny shapes. My mom and I had cream cheese & cucumber sandwiches when we went to High Tea at The T ..read more

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day so I thought I would share a few quick and easy St. Patty’s Day treats I’ve made recently. I’ve never made a leprechaun trap (shocker, I know) but I’ve definitely made my share of rainbow desserts. I think I’ve eaten more food coloring this month, than in all of 2022! So if you are here, just know that I am not a healthy dessert kinda gal.
First up is my rainbow cake. I bought this mini layer cake pan set a few years ago and it is the only way I like to make my cakes now! I’ve made several ombre cakes over the years but rainbow cake is by far my favorite. The tri ..read more

It is Superbowl Sunday and since I’m not much into football, I am posting a game of “this or that” on my Instagram stories. I felt like some of my friends might need something to do while their spouse is watching the game. So I may as well post here also! I have every one of these dresses saved in my Revolve favorites. I might even already own one or two. Brownie points if you can guess which ones!

Did you know that World Nutella Day was a thing? I didn’t either. Apparently February 5th is the day to celebrate all things Nutella! This was music to my ears since I have been on a Nutella treat making kick.
Truth be told, I have never been a huge Nutella fan. But my son LOVES it. So when he asked me to make him Nutella toast recently, I bought a large jar. And then I somehow ended up making one treat after another. Here are three of my favorites:
First up are these Nutella Flower Pots. I started out thinking I would make the jelly envelopes that have gone viral. But they somehow morphed i ..read more
