by Lyndon People ask me what instruments I play, and usually, I respond with, “Whatever gets it out of my head.” Music has been an outlet for me for more than half my life at this point. I come from Chesapeake, Virginia, a place where music (let alone any form of art or entertainment) is totally underrated, never even remotely appreciated. Listen to the album while reading the text. Usually, I make all the effort to make music under the moniker Lyndon — anything from playing guitar, bass, keyboard, and singing, or even producing and mixing. Lyndon is my middle name, and not many people know ..read more

by Pete Hobbs aka Diving At Dawn In October 2022, I made Diving At Dawn’s 2010 debut single A Lot Like Love available on Spotify for the first time. I pitched the track to some playlists via a site called Groover and was surprised and pleased with the response; it started getting plays and picking up some fans. This modest interest in the song got me thinking about recording and releasing some new material. Diving At Dawn has always been a frustrating stop-start affair for me. I’ve never been able to be genuinely productive and build momentum with it because I find working alone so tricky. As ..read more

by The Pilgrim The Pilgrim is the artistic name I gave myself as a singer-songwriter and guitar player because I’ve done and studied so many different stuff, lived in many places, traveled and changed my life more than once. I’ve lived many lives in one, in the search for myself, guided by inspiration, challenging myself, learning so much and preserving my essence and sensitivity. I live for freedom, truth, justice, compassion and altruism. I want to get moved, I want to cultivate special experiences, relationships and feelings, I want to investigate the dark sides of the soul. Listen to the ..read more

The Window Seat

by Joe Holtaway They sat in that window seat for 5 days as we moved through the house as normal, 106 Erlanger Road in London. We had a pact in that house that came from somewhere deeply rooted, you could feel it in the wooden corridors, in the table, the cups and furniture, it said, you’re ok – whatever is happening inside and outside, we got you. 15 of us shared the space, the landlord, living out in the countryside, set it up years before to be a kind of sanctuary I guess. They interviewed prospective tenants and also trusted friends of friends to fill the rooms. Listen to the album while ..read more

by J-COB “Love is Like a trap door , people tend to fall in” ~me Listen to the song while reading the text. I don’t have much to say on the topic of love, but I do know that when you fall, it can be very fast and hard. My only experience with relationships comes from a while back, and it only lasted about two months ( that actually might be a bit generous). ANYWAYS, I didn’t think I was falling at the time, but looking back on the time I really fell fast and hard. I never dated in my teens, so I never really had any experience of fast and strong teen emotions entangling, and I’ve had fewer ..read more

by Sweet William In 1986 it all began near Cologne (Germany) in a little town called Kerpen Sindorf. For me, it was clear that it would be a long journey, and it still is. Now 33 years later and after 33 released albums, it is still something special and every day something new to create music. Right now, we just released the album “Laughter filled with pain” – eight acoustic songs with some electronic elements here and there. It is a very personal album reduced to the essentials. Listen to the album while reading the text. The Beginnings SWEET WILLIAM exists since 1986 and has been founded b ..read more

by Al Barnes I grew up in a small town in Minnesota called Elbow Lake. There wasn’t a whole lot to do in the “sticks” of MN, so I found love in rock ‘n’ roll at an early age through my older brother’s music collection. He moved out when I was young, joined the Air Force and was stationed in England when I was in middle school, so our family took a trip overseas to see him. When I got there, he showed me his electric guitar. I picked it up, and he showed me a couple of licks. I played that damn thing the rest of the time I was there. My parents heard me playing it the whole weekend and later t ..read more

by Haley Harkin Upon driving into Rocky Mountain National Park, the first thing we spotted was a moose. Listen to the song while reading the text. We pulled over to look, and I immediately pulled out my phone to type lyrics that were coming. I remember my partner asking what I was doing as I said: “Hold on I have a song!” Mountain song came from that beautiful place. I felt tears coming to my eyes and goosebumps on my arms as we pulled in. Nature is such a gift, and it is here for us. Also, we saw a concert while in Colorado, from one of our favorite musicians Xavier Rudd. The freedom he has ..read more

I Went To The Desert And Held Out My Thirst

by Noah Evan Wilson The different settings for my latest album, Desert Cities – Part One, span from Denver to Seoul. Track three, Brooklyn, is a love song for the gritty and enigmatic Bushwick neighborhood and track four, Coming Home, rides the metro north to Midtown where home is not a place but a person (and a lovely oasis at that). Track two, Lost in Seoul, reflects on the foreign shores of South Korea, “the crowded streets, the angry East Sea, don’t mind if I belong here for a while.” Only track one, Hold out Thirst, mentions a dry, barren, lifeless, sandy desert. Its brief and stark firs ..read more

by Jason Buice I get asked several times a day what I do for work, and this is while I’m on the job. I make most of my money as a rideshare driver, but I consider myself a singer-songwriter and musician. So when the question comes up, “Is this your full-time job?” I happily reply part-time and ask if they would like to hear my music. I’ve made some great connections this way, and it really helped me prepare for the release of my new ep “Both Sides.” Listen to the EP while reading the text. I started writing songs around the age of 16. I was drawn to music from a young age, and my parents enco ..read more
