MOUNT PLEASANT, WIS. — Microsoft has unveiled plans to invest $3.3 billion between now and the end of 2026 in the development of a data center campus in Mount Pleasant, about 28 miles south of Milwaukee. The tech giant plans to expand its national cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure capacity. HOPKINTON, MASS. — JLL has arranged the sale of a 56,324-square-foot office and data center located in Hopkinton, about 30 miles west of Boston. According to LoopNet Inc., the two-story building at 117 South St. was built in 1981 and renovated in 1985. Mike Restivo and Scott Carpenter of JLL represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction. Brett Paulsrud and Tom Sullivan, also with JLL, arranged acquisition financing on behalf of the buyer, locally based investment firm Rhino Capital. NEW CARLISLE, IND. — Amazon Web Services (AWS), the web hosting division of Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) has announced plans for an $11 billion data center campus in New Carlisle, a town of roughly 1,600 people located near the Michigan-Indiana border. IRVING, TEXAS — An affiliate of Edged Energy, a global data center developer and operator whose U.S. headquarters are based in Connecticut, is underway on construction of a 168,000-square-foot facility at 505 N.
