Couples, you know your wedding guest/ family more than anyone else. If you know that they are not capable of arriving at your wedding at the specified invite time here is what you can do. Give them an invitation with the wrong ceremony start time, depending on how late they generally are, you can give them an invitation with 30 mins or maybe even one-hour prior to the actual ceremony start. (Sometimes drastic measures need to be taken). Now keep in mind that you will have wedding guests that do make time – Ensure that you give them the correct time, so they are not sitting and waiting, as it ..read more

When getting married, there are so many things to consider: Intimacy, Communication, Commitment, Blending Families, Finances, Gender Roles, Spirituality, Mutual Expectations and the list goes on and on. Many couples, don’t talk about half of the above topics, so when they enter into marriage and these topics/ problem arise, many choose to call it quits. Marriage is not for the faint of heart. You are two very different people, coming together as one, but that does not mean that you do not have your individualit ..read more

Unplugged Ceremony It’s a photographer’s worst nightmare to have the bride walking down the aisle and they can’t see the couple reactions, but instead, all they are able to capture with their camera/video are guest phones blocking the view – It’s worse for the Bride & Groom who would like to see each other Consider having an unplugged ceremony. Unplugged simply means no electronics (Phones, Tablets etc….) – Have the officiant mention that it’s an unplugged ceremony right at the start of the ceremony and also have an unplugged sign, so the message is clear as soon as guest enter the ceremon ..read more

5 ways to keep your wedding affordable

Elope :> (Just Bride/ Groom/ Officiant & Photographer) 2. Maybe you want to include a few family members & friends, that’s fine. An intimate ceremony with only your closest family and friends would still be an affordable option. Understanding that fact that the more guest you have the more money you will pay out. Perhaps after the ceremony, you can go to a restaurant and have dinner (Much more affordable than a banquet hall). 3. Have a ceremony only – Some beaches & parks, no permit is required. Fort Lauderdale Beach is a free beach. 4. Minimize your décor, if you are having a b ..read more

Is a wedding planner necessary ?
Experience Love Events
by Experience Love Events
4M ago
In short – Yes – A wedding planner or at minimum a day of coordinator is 100% necessary for your wedding. As a bride, you should be relaxed (yes a little nervous of the unknown), but not stressed. If you do not have at minimum a day of coordinator, you will be called a million times on the day of the event by each vendor (DJ, Photo, Video, Hair, Make Up, Transportation, Photo booth, Venue, Officiant, Baker etc…). You may also have a million calls from family/friends needing something. A planner is one who understands the vision of the bride and will handle all the calls from the vendors, witho ..read more

Choosing a venue – Hotel Pros & Cons
Experience Love Events

Pros Hotels tend to be organized; they have enough staff to handle every aspect of your event for e.g. lobby staff to greet guest as they enter, bathroom attendants, banquet captain to handle hotel issues that comes up. Hotels are inclusive of food & drink, giving the couple less to think about. After a long day at the wedding, sometimes, you just don’t feel like driving anywhere — The hotel is a safe place to rest after a night of drinking, you can also get great room rates. Valet is available — whereby the guest can drive up towards the lobby and not have a long walk. Cons Hotels char ..read more

Choosing a Venue – Banquet Hall Cons
Experience Love Events
by Experience Love Events

Pros Generally Banquet Halls are in plaza’s, there are pros and cons to a plaza. Notably, the plaza will have several other businesses, which can make parking a but of a nightmare. Parking close to the venue may be full, which allows for you to have to walk pretty far in your cute yet high heels. Valet at this point would be an asset, but most banquet halls do not have that — It potentially is a vendor that you may be able to hire. Banquet Halls don’t have as much staff as a hotel, when you rent the hall, you pretty much are just renting the hall — The banquet hall may not have a person speci ..read more

Choosing a Venue — Banquet Hall Pros
Experience Love Events
by Experience Love Events

Pros Banquet Halls are generally small businesses, and we 100% should support small businesses. Banquet halls allow you to bring in your own vendors (caterer, décor, dj, photo, officiant). At some halls you are even allowed to bring in your own drinks, if you have a certified bar tender, this is a huge money saver. Generally, you have early access to a banquet hall, sometimes even given access the day before to drop off items or set up, as long as there is no event going on, this makes things easier for the couple, vendors and the venue. Banquet Halls typically do not charge per person -if yo ..read more
