Suffering from acid reflux, I finally switched from drinking my coffee black to adding some milk in it. Right away, I saw a big improvement. Prior to doing that though, once in a blue moon, I had some creamer in my cup of joe ☕.
It all begin when, back in the 90s’, I came across a few different flavors from International Delight. Although drinking my coffee black, it was a nice change to add one of those little cups. Soon after, I stopped having them when I looked at the ingredient list – way too...

David and I like snacky foods especially on movie nights ?! He enjoys his Cretors Popcorn or BBQ chips while I have my plain chips with my onion chip dip or my seaweed snack. Other times, we share a bucket of Cracker Jack, have tortilla chips with salsa or roasted squash seeds.
When it comes to sweets, we definitely go for cold treats like ice creams ?, gelatos or floats during the summer while the rest of the year, we munch on Fig Newtons Cookies, Pirate Cookies, Twinkies, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Twizzlers, etc.

Who didn’t eat banana bread as a child?
It became popular during the Great Depression and WWII for a few reasons: it’s a delicious way to salvage this fruit, it’s nutritious ?, it doesn’t need that much sugar due to the natural sweetness of these ripe bananas plus it’s a tasty comfort food.
Quick breads ? are easy to make! I think of Apple Cinnamon, Cranberry-Orange & Almonds, Zucchini, Tropical Bread, and many others. The same applies with savory breads such as Onion Quick Bread, Jalapeño Cheddar Cornbread, Beer Bread, Bacon Parmesan, etc.

Seafood is a real treat for me! My parents were making dishes using many gems from the ocean. The very first time I had mussels is when my mother made a Paella. It was so delicious! My grandmother ?, on the other hand,...

The majority of the time, kids and vegetables don’t get along! I’m not sure if it’s because my parents made me eat my veggies or I simply like them but, as a child ?, I never had a problem eating them! Obviously, I had my favorites but regardless, I always ate them…

This is the time of the year where many of us will visit our local orchards. We’ll return home with a few buckets of apples ?? and then figure out which recipes we’ll be making. Although available all year round, it’s always a fun destination to get your apples from.
So, what to make with all of them?
Well, it’s a great idea to start with a couple of scrumptious apple cheese pies ? followed by some homemade apple sauce. There are also apple turnovers, apple betty or apple crisp, a couple dozen oatmeal apple...
