LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An implosion demolition permit for the Tropicana Las Vegas was officially filed with Clark County Thursday. The iconic 1950-era hotel first announced plans for a Fall demolition in March and would close its doors on April 2. The county was officially issued a commercial demolition permit in April, alongside efforts to remove asbestos from the property. The filing requested the implosion of the 22-story Tropicana Club alongside its 22-story Paradise Tower.
