It was a crazy game in Lincoln with two blocked field goals and two kickoffs kicked out of bounds for Iowa. After going 5-11 as a field goal kicker last year, the Hawkeyes marched out Marshall Meeder to kick a game winning 38 yard field goal, his first of the season. The Hawkeyes ran the ball well and Nebraska was generous with turnovers, as they have been all season. Next up for Iowa, the cheaters from Ann Arbor. The loss of Cooper DeJean was hard to take this week, but once again, this team fought through adversity and won a close game. The Iowa defense came up big when needed and the offense scored just enough with the late TD by Kaleb Johnson. Iowa traveled to #8 Creighton but fell 92-84. Creighton got hot ti start the 2nd half and had to play catch up after that. The new guys, including four try freshmen are holding their own.
