In today's fast-paced world, it's often challenging to gather our loved ones in one place, especially when family members are spread across different cities, or even countries. However, these rare moments when we do come together are incredibly precious and worth cherishing. This is where the magic of extended family photography comes in, offering a beautiful way to capture the deep, emotional connections that bind us across generations. The Emotional Tapestry of Extended Family An extended family photoshoot is more than just a collection of images; it's a tapestry woven with love, laughter ..read more

When I was a litlle girl, around 3-4 years old, school children seemed so big. Clever. Independent. They were going to SCHOOL. They did not have to sleep during the lunch break and they were home by midday. Oh how much I wanted this! People said that I would miss my time in kindergarten, but in fact, I never did. When I started school, my mum was 30 and my grandparents were in their 50s. Well, for a 7 year-old 30 seemed like a lot. Definitely, mum was an adult. No questions asked. And grandparents...Oh they were GRAND-parents. And they were 50. They were not old, definitely not THAT old like w ..read more

I know that using Photoshop in kids’ portraits is a rather controversial topic nowadays, but today I would like to show you that sometimes it is absolutely necessary. And no, I am not going to talk about photoshoping their faces and changing their bodies, but about something less obvious. 2 years ago, a father approached me to take some portraits of him and his 3 children. They do not spend as much time together as he would like to spend, and he was after portraits that he can put in his office. It was a fine day. Sunny and bright, but for whole week prior to that day it was pouring (as it is ..read more

Oh Sydney weather, my love, you are so unpredictable that sometimes it seems like we have all the seasons in one day, especially if this day is your family photography day. Thankfully, it does not snow (though, personally, I wouldn't mind a day or two of snow play), but we can go from hot to rain to storm in the matter of hours. So, if this lucky day is the day of your family photoshoot, what are your options? 1. As much as I would like to control the weather, I can’t. So the first thing that I would suggest - reschedule. If your circumstances allow, we will have your family portraits taken on ..read more

When are women the most vulnerable? And when are we the most powerful, fierce and strong? We listen to every single advice and shut them out to keep our ears open to what our gut is telling us. We survive on 3-hour sleep, one meal a day and 12 hours of rocking/walking/shushing our newborn babies. We produce their own food non-stop and seem to be nursing them for hours and hours. Constantly, warming up bottles and measuring out the baby formula. Changing nappies, a hundred of times a day only to find out that the baby has just made a teeny tiny super smelly poop in the fresh one and now is batt ..read more

After my own maternity leave finished (and COVID lockdown has finally ended), I was so happy to be out of the house to photograph this beautiful couple. And it was a very special couple as they were pregnant! Pregnancy is a very special time in a woman's life. No matter if it is "easy" or "hard", it is a magical time where you are growing a new human being inside you. I have two babies and I still consider it to be the greatest miracle on Earth. Mind blowing experience. Totally. To the point, where sometimes I wish both of them could be tucked inside so I can enjoy a no argument, calm and pea ..read more
