‣ Welcome back to my blog! I hope you’re having a great summer. Today, I’m going to be giving you my guide to a Crazy Rich Asians-themed adventure in Singapore. Though the Hollywood film came out in 2018, it’s remained one of my favorites—I love the storyline and humor, positive Asian representation, and seeing the sights of Singapore. (Warning: movie spoilers ahead!) Changi Airport I think Singapore’s airport is the best one I’ve ever visited. From the Rain Vortex (the tallest indoor waterfall) in Jewel Changi Airport to shops, restaurants, gardens (butterfly garden, sunflower garden, e ..read more

My Favorite Allergy-Friendly Travel Snacks

I love to travel, I love to snack, and I have food allergies—this post is one that I’m excited for, and I hope you are too! Traveling with allergies and/or dietary restrictions means that it’s always important to have snacks on hand, just in case. Depending on where you are traveling, you never know if/when you will find a grocery store to buy food or a restaurant to have a meal. I am allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts (except almonds and coconut), fish, and shellfish. I also practice a vegan diet. With that being said, it is safe for me to have foods made in the same facility as my a ..read more

‣ Happy New Year, and welcome back to my blog! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that you are safe, happy, and healthy. If you know me, you know that Hawai‘i is my favorite place to visit. Today, I’ll be sharing what I think are the top five must-see/must-do things on the Big Island. This is by no means an exhaustive list—we spent less than three days there, so there are so many be ..read more

Celebrate the holidays with a walk down Christmas Tree Lane in Alameda, CA. ‣ Hey there, welcome back to my blog! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. I can hardly believe that we’re a mere four days from Christmas and ten days from the end of 2021. I feel like the holidays creep up on me every year, but this year it has felt particularly sudden, perhaps because I’ve been away at college in St. Louis. When I got back to the Bay Area, I really enjoyed exploring Christmas Tree Lane. It’s a block of 55 houses that have put up festive Christmas decorations every year since 1938, with ..read more

Hello, and welcome back to my blog! A couple of weeks ago, I visited Southern California in my first trip of the summer. We went to Hemet for my sister’s softball tournament, then made a side trip to Huntington Beach and Anaheim. I was so excited to visit Disneyland and Disney California Adventure—not only because it’s the Happiest Place on Earth (and we could all use a little bit of extra happiness after fifteen months of COVID-19 lockdown/restrictions), and not only because there were shorter lines due to capacity limits, but also because Disney parks are known for being allergy- and vegan-f ..read more
