Looking at buying a used alucab 3.1 RTT. Just received a sherpa new Fuji roof rack. Looking at the Sherpa roof rack and the alucab 3.1 I don't see a way to easily make them work together using the alucab mounting brackets. One of the issues is the alucab tent is set up for the alucab load bars which have a center channel for bolting vs the prinsu/Sherpa roof racks that have two evenly spaced bolting channels that run the lengths of the load bars. Ok, so as you can see in the picture, I camp with small tear drop trailer. I have an ARB with a side tent. The tent is great but the awning is terrible for beach camping as it can't even do a little bit of wind. I don't set the tent up unless we are staying more than acouple of days. So I would like to add a 180 on the other side. Main wants are quick set up, tolerant of up to 20 MPH wind without being tied down. I've got a Trustmade Nomad RTT that I use alot. I would like to get more year-round use out of it and I'm sleeping bag setup to -30F , but would like to get some type of insulation kit that would work and am looking at heaters also and figured I'd ask for advice. This weekend I finished my installation of a hot water system on my Toyota FJ Cruiser. One person can do this by himself but a friend (who is much more knowledgeable about cars than me) helped me and that made it a lot easier. This system can be used for showering or to make hot water to wash dishes, among other things. Hi all! I have been all around the internet trying to find this aluminum profile pictured below. They are part of the crossbars for my rooftop tent rack. I am trying to but a few more of those profiles to be able to mount my accesories in a better way, but it has been a nightmare to get any info related to this. My RTT is a Chinese brand, similar to Colorado 4x4 Alto Elite. They do sell the rack and extra crossbars, but I wonder if there's any cheaper alternative where to get this extrusion...
