What has gone on with the Lakers is beyond ridiculous. Darwin Ham is one of our coaches on the hot seat but it’s not entirely his fault. The coach can’t help D’Angelo Russell shoot threes. Russell, by the way didn’t meet with the press last night after the miserable game he had. Anthony Davis, the self proclaimed, Defensive Player of the Year, gave up eight baskets in the fourth quarter in game two. Last night after the Laker loss he said the team wasn’t organized, a definite shot at Ham. The easy thing to do if you’re the media or the fans is to blame this on the coach. Speaking of the Laker ..read more

Heat – Celtics Game 2: Push back.

The Heat – Celtics Game 2 was one of “push back.” The players were hot from three point range but there were drives to the hoop. Jaime Jaquez Jr. was being a bully and would get handled, but kept pushing. Nikola Jovic was pushing Kristaps Porzingis off his mark all game. Bam was juking and jiving players on offense and defense. Caleb Martin was driving hard to the hoop. The Celtics players began to play “on their backfoot.” The Celtics will be back in Game 3, but for now, let’s look at the recap. Heat – Celtics Game 2, Point #3 — Game plan changed to fit Tyler Herro‘s game. Herro had a better ..read more

Josh Hart has been a very effective scorer for the Knicks in these first two. Should the Knicks look for Hart more on the offensive end to score? The Knicks were able to pull off two thrilling victories over the 76ers at MSG and currently hold a 2-0 lead in this best of seven series. Oddly enough, despite Jalen Brunson’s offensive struggles, the Knicks have found a way to stay on pace with the Sixers and have been able to deliver in clutch moments. Although everyone has contributed to making this happen, Josh Hart is definitely the biggest reason why the offense has been good enough to win the ..read more

On Tuesday, April 23, the NBA announced their winner of the KIA Most Improved Player. The Philadelphia 76ers’ guard Tyrese Maxey was named victorious just edging out Chicago Bulls’ guard Coby White. Maxey finished with 319 voting points, while White received 305. Rockets’ center Alperen Sengun finished as the third finalist with 92 voting points. Maxey had a dominant 51 first place votes to White’s 32. Ultimately, that gave him the edge to take home the hardware. The NBA has gradually been announcing some of their major award winners. Unfortunately, the Sixers are not likely to have any beyond ..read more

Brian Scalabrine‘s “Code Red” take after Game 1 of the Heat – Celtics series is wrong. Not only was it exaggerated by Scalabrine to get clicks on the Internet, it was completely opposite of the movie reference. Check out this article here from the website looper.com where they explain the term. I am a huge movie geek so have been waiting for this moment. Brian Scalabrine’s and Code Red point #3 “It was a training tool for men in the unit, not the opposition.” Come ‘on Scalabrine! this is Movie Reference 101. The term “Code Red” was used by Marines in Rifle Security Company Wyndward to train me ..read more

Shooting Forward DeMar DeRozan was the main performer for the Bulls as they put their heart and soul into the match till the final buzzer sound but weren’t able to give the city of Chicago a playoff berth. . DeRozan put in 22 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists. It proved insufficient as the Chicago Bulls (39-43) lost against the Miami Heat (46-36) 112-91 away from home at Kaseya Stadium to bow out in the decisive game of the NBA-Play-In-East for the 8th Seed of the NBA Playoffs in the Eastern Conference. The Chicago Bulls came into this game after a great win against the Atlanta Hawks whe ..read more

Heading into the 2024 NBA playoffs, the team that was playing the best might have been the Dallas Mavericks. They finished their regular season 16-2 with a full roster available. So heading into their 1st round match-up against the Los Angeles Clippers that would more than likely start this series without their superstar in Kawhi Leonard, they would be favorites over LA.  All week leading up to Game 1 on Sunday afternoon head coach Ty Lue was asked if Leonard would be available and his response, “We’ll see.” He said he and the team were prepared to play Game 1 without him, if it came down ..read more

The small forward position, identified as a critical area for improvement, was the focus of the Pistons’ strategic moves in the 2023 off-season. These strategic maneuvers were a testament to the team’s commitment to enhancing the small forward position. This week, we will be grading the small forward position for the Pistons.
