The station has been showing KTTV Fox 11 News at 5 weekdays for a while now at the same time with KTTV.  KCOP is also airing news at 11am and 11pm.  They're showing highlights of Good Day LA as well as repeats of West Coast Wrap during middle of the day.   Why are they airing repeats and highlights of old news when they can just continue with the 11am crew throughout the afternoon until 2:30 or 3pm and try to compete with KTLA ..read more

Per the trade publication Media Moves, Spanish-language Estrella TV'S O&O KRCA channel 62, has laid off its entire news department and will instead have México-based Multimedios produced newscasts. Lieberman is reporting that 2/9 reporter Sara Donchey is leaving to join KPIX. In her new role, she will anchor the weekday 5pm newscast with newly appointed anchor Ryan Yamamoto.   Interesting development for sure. I liked Sara at 2/9 and was disappointed when she returned from a leave that she was relegated to weekday nightside reporting. She had great chemistry with her weekend co-anchor Chris Holmstrom.
