Got up to Pulaski last week for 24 hrs to fish for steelhead. This was my best outing yet. I was able to land two, two broke off with good fights and lost 4-6 others that took. Been getting some nice catfish and bass on a local river about 2 miles from my house. The bass come about 250 miles from the ocean to this location, a small trout stream. I am fishing now. Nobody knows the bass are here. They took the dam out about three years ago that allow the bass to come up now. You have to stake your rod holders down deep into the mud or they will steal your rod. My wife's and my first trip to Lake Ontario. We were able to fish with Matt and Emma Thursday evening, Friday morning, Saturday morning and evening and Sunday morning for about an hour 1/2. Saturday morning was really unfishable but we went anyway. In total we had 23-25 kings, a Coho, and 14-15 lake trout. The king size was down from Matt's trip last year with the biggest at 18 pounds. My daughter (24) was home from San Fran and asked me if i would take her fly fishing. She has always enjoyed fishing but has never asked to go fly fishing.
