It is frustrating when you see fish and they refuse to bite.

That catfish is one of the three fish on the left side of sonar screen. Not what we were looking for but pretty neat anyway.

I have a Live Scope.
Just got it - the increase in inshore saltwater fishing pressure was a wake-up call to get it. Imagine if you had 30 fishing spots and went out and there were 1-2-3 boats on every one every Saturday. That's what it is like where we fish. Was nice 20 yrs ago but nowadays...

My dad has the Garmin Livescope and after 3 years has zero issues with it. Takes sometime to learn the settings and all, but man it is addictive especially for Crappie. It definitely helps you learn alot more about how fish react and how to pattern them also.

Any experience with forward facing sonar? What's the best setup? I have a couple of humminbird helix 10s on the boat, but they are gen 2 and won't support a active target transducer. So I need to get the whole setup so that means I get to choose what ever brand. I'm leaning towards the Garmin livescope plus but am open to suggestions. would like to buy once cry once on this one. Any thoughts?
