I’ve really gotten into the different “Vibe” baits for crappies and, of course, this has taken me down another rabbit hole in searching for blank bait bodies. I the picture the top bait is a Scheels “Big Eye” vibe bait along sode of a couple that I just finished last night. Size and shape-wise they’re close to identical. Crappie season is fast approaching so I stripped the last of the finish off the top two baits that are no longer available and then painted them and three blanks. The purple over pearl and chartreuse belly is a hot color combo here. This spring has been so screwed up weather-wise. I was shore fishing in shirt sleeves three weeks ago and then we got a major dumping of white.
