I bought my boat used about 5 years ago ant it came with custom cockpit cushions. Other than seeing how they fit and look I have never used them and they tale up a lot of storage space. I was thinking that they may be more appropriate for the med but not sure. I have two collapsible chairs that I find more usable. When we bought our Hunter 41AC two years ago there were three burgees on board. I have identified one of them as being for the Portland Yacht Club but I've had no luck on the remaining two (images attached). I know that the original owner of our boat took delivery of it in the Seattle area and did a lot of sailing in the Puget Sound vicinity. At some point, the boat was moved to Portland, Oregon and the owner just before us (the second, I think) kept it in Portland. Just wondering how many here with tattoos decided on a traditional sailors tattoo. I’ve included a picture of a traditional explanation of what tattoos go where. Obviously there are other directives for the military and merchant navy. But for those just roaming the world very slowly, what are you thoughts. And perhaps share a picture of your art. I'm looking for advice on gearing up to do a little fishing on a trip from Tampa to Key West and back in February. I have a 35' monohull that averages about 4-5kts. Currently I have no gear and little offshore fishing experience. Just think it would be almost criminal to not have a line in the water.. Any recommendations on what to buy (or not to) and how to go about landing something on the trip?
