Here's something that might be fun and informative to read about a race track with history and fascinating races since 1926, located in the Marne department, Champagne province, France.
About 12 years ago I visited the stands of Circuit de Reims-Gueux for the first time and I met some people from 'Les amis du Circuit de Gueux' (Friends of the Gueux Circuit). They talked passionately about their plans for the circuit and gave me a brochure and some stickers from their association. It...

Visitors tax is becoming universal. I guess it is a necessary evil. I hated applying it when I was in the holiday letting business and now I hate paying it. But I accept it. However, as a solo traveller, and this means one person of course, I object to paying for 2 people as a minimum. It means I pay double. There are rules and regulations governing the rates applied. Why should an organisation have the right to apply their own specific rates? Camping Car Parks in France want to charge...

Hi. We have managed to get some Olympic tickets in August and are looking to either camp in or around Paris, or leave the van in a secure car park then stay in Paris centre for a few nights.
Has anyone used secure parking near Paris or found a campervan friendly site within Paris itself?
Any tips or pointers would be most welcome.
Thanks

Last year we travelled from the UK to Bari in Italy through the Mont Blanc tunnel via Milan. We are doing the same journey again this year and we are looking at driving through Cassino. We know it’s marginally longer but we wondered if it’s a more scenic journey. Has anybody done this route and if so what type of roads are they ie dual carriageways, single etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated ..read more

We’re looking to have a few days at RSPB Arne and surroundings mid March. I can see there are a couple of CAMC sites within about 30 minutes, but wondered if there are better places, closer, or attached to a pub etc ..read more

Having just taken the hit of increased car insurance, tax and the first MOT, I want to get more value out of the California, so am thinking of taking a fortnight at Easter for an extended trip.
We're based in South Wales, have two kids (11 and 9), like cycling, walking, paddleboarding and nature.
I like driving the van so don't mind long distances, but the kids not so much. And we don't tend to like moving on to a new location every night - but prefer finding somewhere good and staying for...
