Happy New Year for you all!!! My lovely missus & I are planning a week away during late Feb/early March to enjoy the end of summer. We plan to stay somewhere within in walking distance to a surf beach and I would like to take my "black girlfriend" to go out for a spin on some local tracks if at all possible. Do any burners have suggestions where we may be able to book a beach stay with convenient access to MTB trails? We have spent many a past summer at North Mollymook Beach and beyond but... Couldn't see any threads, any tips on Goldfields trail and surrounds. Just trying for an interesting shakedown run for new (to me) rig. Something different to my normal hot, dry broadacre for miles and miles. Have been thorough area on Motorbike and thought it would be good to explore the dirt a bit more. Leaving this weekend for a road trip. Have lightweight Bivvy but planning on pubs/ cabins rather than camp but go with the flow. Rusty has suggested some newish built trails half-way (... Did a bit of search but didn't find much on this and everything seemed pretty old. I like to travel and bike at least a bit when I do. Thought I'd see from those who have travelled the most, how would you rank bucket list destinations/trails. For those who haven't where would you most like to go! I think I need some kind of long service leave or a lottery win or maybe I should become a traveling YouTuber - let's face it nobody wants to see or listen to that! Anyway my thoughts: Personally... Hi All, A mate from work and myself have been chatting about heading off with our boys and bikes on a camping bike trip in September. We are both in Brissie and thought about heading to Bright for a few days making our way down the coast then over. I haven't been there before and I am wondering if this is doable, and what the tracks at bright are like? I will have my 6 and 9 year old boys with me. As far as their age groups they are fair riders but unsure about the conditions of the... The Brissie to Bright riding road trip ..read more

Maydena's trail conditions

I reckon we should keep a log of trail conditions at maydena so people know when to visit, or not. I've been up there twice in the last two months, and a bunch of times jan-march this year. The maintenance on the upper trails (particularly the compulsory trails skyline, tea trees and pandani) has been very poor this year. Most of blue grade runs are really flogged too. There are ruts on pandani (a major feeder trail) that i watched develop at the last national enduro round! Moss boss has a... maydena's trail conditions ..read more

The baconated one is heading to the land of the rising sun for a much needed R&R break. In between work, fires , family members dying, COVID and a plethora of other shite it's been way too long between holidays for the pig.... We have bought tickets to Japan, leaving the 28th arriving in Tokyo late at night on a Thursday. The plan so far is to hit up friends in Tokyo for a "Half Fast" social ride on saturday and then head to Kyoto to see the parents in law ( in Uji, Kyoto) , via lake...
