Hi, I will be taking the family for vacation to up-state New York during the first two weeks of August. I wouldn't really consider myself a landscape photographer and never having been to the area before I was looking for a bit of advice as to good spots for taking photos. We (wife and two kids) rented a house for 6 days to just hang loose here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WP316ABiTt0 and was wondering if one could travel light and cover almost all bases with a crop sensor and Sigma 35 Art? Last year in May I went for a business trip to Bremerhaven, Northern Germany. I had a pleasant stay, the weather was fine so close to the North Sea and I could take some time for taking photos early in the morning and mostly in the evening. I had almost forgotten that I had not yet edited the pictures. Here are the first few, and I will add some more to this thread as soon as I've found the time to process them. These first photos are from Nan, a province in the northern part of the country. During March, the air was smoggy and I felt difficult to breathe after a week. I do feel it added something different for landscape photos. Locals were happy to oblige me with photo, like the rest of the country. Thai people tend to want their skin to be lighter than I prefer to expose (many already people do comment I prefer my photos too dark), but the R5 is more than capable of accommodating that later...
