Start Shopping Early! When booking a wedding photographer it's best to start the shopping process as soon as you set your wedding date. Depending on the level of demand for certain photographers in your area, you may need to book up to 6-12 months before your wedding to secure the perfect photographer for you. I was coming to the end of my drive from Nottingham to Lake Vrynwy in Wales, and to say my draw dropped as I approached the lake would be an understatement. The dam built over the lake began slowly creeping into sight, and since I was early for the shoot I knew I had to pull over to get a better view.
