My cell phone (S22) has three cameras - one wide angle lens with 12MP sensor, one normal (1x & 50MP), and one 3X optical zoom with 12MP sensor. When I take a picture of a garden and lawn with the normal (1X) lens at 12MP, the file size is 7.5MB. At 50MP, the file size is 20MB. Since this is a detailed image not friendly to compression, 7.5*50/12, or 31.25MB (173.6% 20MB) is mor what I would intuit the image size to be. Maybe 29MB. There's no sky or anything easy, the biggest component is a... JPEG File Size vs. Resolution and Quality ..read more

As the title suggests I'm looking for a program that works well that actually uses facial recognition and metadata etc that scans my WHOLE PC and all the drives without me having to select photos. I'm wanting this program to organize all of my photos. Would be nice to have something akin to Google Photos/Onedrive/Icloud. Does ANYONE know of ANY programs that actually work well for this purpose? That can analyze ALL of my drives connected to my PC and arrange the photos like the... Been wondering for quite a while now. How much do you gotta spend on a DSLR or whatever, to compete with a smartphone camera? My family has been rigging a smartphone to the camera tripod and taking family pictures that way. Been wondering if I could get a dedicated camera for such events. Without costing a arm and a leg. Thanks, Higgins909 ..read more

What's the best and safest online place to buy pre owned DSLR camera bodies and lenses? I bought a watch once on ebay for $200.00 and then the seller immediately edited his page and announced he would only take credit cards instead of paypal. A lie. He edited his page after I purchased. He then told me he would teach me a lesson because I didn't give into his extortion and paypal. Seller took money and never sent watch. I've looked around for local camera's and it's a joke. They're all canon... What's the best and safest online place to buy pre owned DSLR camera bodies and lenses ..read more

This is not a macro shot, it was cropped down and adjusted in Photoshop and then taken in Topaz AI, to crisp it up. Turned out great. This is shrunk down a bit for the web @ 72 dpi. My wife actually took the shot in our garden last year. I just got around to working some more with it. View attachment 2598477 ..read more
