Actually I can think of several airports in Southern Europe that are good for Malta and Corfu just for starters. First question, what is your local airport. That will give an indication of what you can see at home. For example, if you live in Dallas you wouldn't travel to somewhere that has a lot of WN. Also that helps by indicating how hot/cold etc is going to be a problem. Secondly, do you have particular types or airlines on your bucket list. There are lots of places in Southern California that rent airplanes to pilots. You'll definitely need a checkout though. Statistics: Posted by N1120A — Wed Dec 04, 2024 9:41 pm ..read more

Is this true? I’m afraid your assumption would be incorrect. The Greek islands are, by and large, “dead” from November to April. During those months, sun craving Europeans will usually flock to the Canaries or SE Asia, usually Thailand. The busiest time for Skiathos (and other Greek islands) is from May through September. I've been to St. Maarten, the St. Maarten of Asia (Phuket), and now I'd like to see the St. Maarten of Europe. I was looking at the Skiathos Airport Wikipedia page and it seems nearly all the service is seasonal, so are there certain times of the year when Skiathos is pretty quiet, or is there always at least a decent amount of plane action throughout the year? Me being in the US, it's not the easiest and cheapest destination to reach, so I wouldn't want to be there if the only flights going in/out of Skiathos are a couple flights to/from Athens. I assumed Skiathos is busiest in the winter si ..read more

You can use either the public deck on top of the Itami terminal or you can go to the Itami Skypark which is alongside runway 32L/14R. In the afternoon light will generally be behind the aircraft if you shoot from the terminal. Itami Skypark can be accessed by bus or taxi from JR Itami station. It's more of a pain to get there from Shin-osaka or Umeda than the airport station. Statistics: Posted by Aaron747 — Sun Dec 01, 2024 1:46 am ..read more
