Trisha and Paul were married on a rainy Spring day at Bonton Farms here in Dallas not far from Highland Park were we shot most of their portraits. They wanted their wedding to celebrate their growth as a couple and the relationships in their lives and communities so they chose a garden motif for their locations and general vibe. We’re so happy we got to shoot with these two in Oak Cliff Dallas in The Bishop Arts District for their engagement shoot. We started at one of Dallas’ best local record stores, Spinster Records, digging through their huge selection. From there, we thought about getting tacos at TAQUERIA EL SI HAY but the line was (justifiably) insane so we went to our home away from home, House of Dirt, where we found some nice moody light and hung out until the daylight faded away. It’s been a dream to shoot in New Orleans for several years now and that dream finally came true with this blissful day that Courtney and Truett got married. They started the day getting ready at a cute little Airbnb down the street from The Cabildo where their ceremony took place. Between locations was a wall of rain the came through which cooled things off and made everything even more beautiful in the square. We had so much fun on this shoot with Alexa and Christian. We love shooting at natural light studios since we don’t have to spend so much time walking to different locations and we have liberty to mix things up in-camera to make it interesting. Hannah and Andrew were married at One Eleven East in Hutto Texas, not far from Round Rock in an old industrial building within a small downtown area. It marked the first wedding in a long strand of Fall weddings for us and and set the season off strong. In addition to having the most gorgeous breakfast spreads we’ve seen since this Brik Breakfast wedding, Hannah and Andrew are both coffee pros at Bloom and Pour which they incorporated into their reception with a full coffee bar and a bride vs groom latte art competition.
