Hello everyone! Today, I am so thrilled to be starting off the blog tour for Tamsin Mori’s new book Guardians of the Source, which is something I’m very excited to read soon. I have an amazing guest post from Tamsin to share! A House Full of Magic People are remarkably unwilling to notice magic – swift to dismiss anything out of the ordinary. That’s how magic stays hidden. Most of the time. Curiosity is stunted by the demands of the everyday – crowded out by shopping lists and appointments and utility bills and calendars. Perhaps that’s why children are better at sensing magic? Their heads ar ..read more

Hello everyone! Today, I’m thrilled to be part of the blog tour for the new release by Anna Rainbow, with my glowing review. I was a huge fan of Anna’s previous middle grade release Antigua, so I of course jumped at the chance to be part of this new delight’s release, especially as it has such a fun premise. I’m whispering so Antigua can’t hear me as I don’t want her to be hurt… but I enjoyed this one even more! It follows Bramble Browning, who finds a magical scarlet mask that transforms her into famed Robin Hood-esque highwayman Diamond Jack, on the same day her beloved grandfather is kidnap ..read more

Hello everybody, happy first blog post of the year! I’m hoping to have more blog posts that aren’t for tours this year, including tags and author interviews, but I think outwith tours the best place to find reviews now is on my Instagram. Anyway, today I am thrilled to be part of the blog tour for the new release from fabulous Eloise Smith. Onto the post! I really enjoyed the first book from this author back in 2022 (Sister to a Star), so I was delighted to see that a new one was coming from her this month. And I don’t say this lightly, but I really think this was even better than the star-s ..read more

Hello everybody! Today, I’m delighted to be part of the blog tour for Sunshine Simpson Cooks Up a Storm, the second in a middle grade contemporary series by G.M Linton. Onto the post! To my shame, I haven’t read the first in this series yet, despite having preordered ages before it came out, but I couldn’t pass up the chance to be part of this tour and decided to start with this one since it takes place at this time of year and I’m watching Great British Bake Off for the first time in years due to the addition of Alison Hammond. This is really warm and funny and such an enjoyable read. Althoug ..read more

Hello everybody! Today, I’m so excited to be part of the blog tour for David Farr’s second book the Secret of the Blood-Red Key. Onto the post! This is the sequel to 2021’s amazing fantasy debut the Book of Stolen Dreams, which is written by a screenwriter known for ‘Hanna’ (which features baby Saoirse Ronan!) and ‘Spooks’. I have to admit I wasn’t sure what a children’s book from him might look like, but I adored his first one and I’m thrilled to report I also loved this sequel. It follows a world named Krasnia, which until very recently has been under control of dictator Charles Malstain, wh ..read more
