Summer Retreats at Glastonbury Abbey 2024
Directed Retreats include an individual daily meeting with a director focusing on the retreatant’s experience of God and help in discerning the interior movements of the Holy Spirit
Guided Retreats include prayer, presentations, and an opportunity, if one would like, to meet once with the director during the retreat.
On all retreats, within an atmosphere of silence, there is time for personal prayer, exercise, rest and liturgy.

Dr. Ericka Riggins-Brown Speaks at Associates’ October Monthly Meeting

On October 14, Dr. Ericka Riggins-Brown, author, lecturer, daughter of a missionary, and wife of a Protestant pastor, addressed a group of Associates, Agrégées and Sisters gathered in the Motherhouse chapel. Dr. Riggins-Brown wrote a book on relationship building, and she chose that as her topic.

Fall Fun Festival

The invitation was extended for fun, food, and fall festivities at Casserly House and thirteen neighborhood children responded, four of them new to Casserly House! Pizza was eagerly consumed before the children ventured to Roslindale Village Main Streets’ organized trick-or-treating. One child commented “This is the best day of my life” as her bag was filled with treats.

Statehouse: Call for Funding Shelters

On Tuesday, Oct. 31, Sisters of St. Joseph joined others at a rally in front of the State House to ask the Legislature to pass the supplemental budget and keep the doors to Emergency Assistance (EA) shelters open!
These resources are needed now. Those present made it clear that our value as an organized city and state is to provide a welcoming place. Shelter is a basic human right.
The government has provided adequate funding for shelters in Massachusetts for 40 years. This is not the day to stop support ..read more

The Spirituality Center Open House
