The Orange County Riptide went 2-2 on the week but ended the week on a high note, sweeping a doubleheader on Saturday against the San Luis Obispo Blues to win the weekend series on the road. The second to last week of the regular season saw the OC Riptide alternate between wins and loses and ended the week 2-3. Despite playing below .500 baseball, the Riptide remain solidly in second place in the CCL South Division standings behind the Santa Barbara Foresters. After ending last week on a hot streak, the OC Riptide cooled off a bit coming off the CCL Showcase Game break. The Riptide went 1-4 coming off the break and rewmain in second place in the CCL Southern Division, 2.5 games back of the Santa Barbara Foresters. Nine games remain in the 2023 regular season for the OC Riptide which includes two separate road trips to San Luis Obispo. The OC Riptide ended the week riding a hot streak, winning their last four games including a three-game series sweep over the Arroyo Seco Saints. The Riptide currently sit solidly in second place in the CCL South Division Standings with a record of 15-7, one game behind the Santa Barbara Foresters. The OC Riptide had an up and down week, starting off by dropping both games to the Santa Barbara Foresters. The Riptide then lost the series opener to Conejo Oaks in a 15-11 shootout on the last game of June. However, the Riptide started off July on the right foot, winning the next two games against the Conejo Oaks and taking the weekend series.
