KAMAS, Utah — On May 4, a benefit concert featuring country singers Josh Kelley and Dustin Christensen took place at the Dejoria Center at High Star Ranch. The emcee was Golden Globe and Tony award-winning actor Scott Wolf. “I was honored and grateful to be part of such an amazing night benefiting a truly special group of people. HEBER CITY, Utah — Following recommendations from the Heber City Art Advisory Committee, the Heber City Council has distributed the inaugural Wasatch Trails, Arts and Parks (TAP) funding to seven local entities. The TAP Tax, a voter-approved 0.1% sales tax increase in Wasatch County, aims to support local art and cultural initiatives. The process began with applications opening on January 10, 2024, and closing after 60 days on March 11, 2024. The Summit County Public Arts Council announced the winners of the award to create public art for the Jeremy Ranch and Pinebrook roundabouts. Don Kennell and Lisa Adler from Santa Fe, New Mexico, were chosen to create large metal sculptures of animals. While the council liked their proposal for a moose, they are asking the artists to consider another animal for the second project.
