The phrase, “unconditional love” is well known and used by mostly Christians. The concept is particularly used regarding those who would want to affirm man in his sinful condition, and in particular the sin of homosexuality. God’s people must persevere. There is a doctrine called the “perseverance of the saints”, which is part of the five points of Calvinism. I do not hold to this doctrine, however, I believe in the perseverance of the saints in the sense that God’s people must be of a persevering spirit to continue in the faith and make it into the Kingdom.
