Being a huge supporter of Royal Mail it’s so sad to feel like they’ve lost their core aims in recent years in terms of valuing and promoting letter writing, reinvesting into the historic and once great postal service, proposing to cut deliveries, and increasing the cost of stamps to make it unaffordable and unattractive to send letters and postcards. I hate to say it but as a loyal and dedicated letter writer it also makes me feel a bit used and abused. If anyone wanted to join us in writing to Royal Mail Head Office for FREE about the value of letter writing and the way forward then the addre ..read more

It’s been quite a week at THLAS HQ for mentions in the media, but it all started here in The Times on Monday 8th April with an article written by Harry Taylor. Many thanks to Harry for raising the profile of handwritten letters, and also to Zach Culpin for coming to photograph the Letter Writing Shed for the piece as well. I’m just so glad I’d had a bit of a tidy and spring clean only a few days before. Photo by Zachary Culpin for The Times Click HERE to read the article. Dinah ..read more

Unless perhaps you’re high up in the Post Office, Fujitsu and, I’m guessing worryingly, maybe our own government, if you’ve watched the incredible real-life drama, Mr Bates Vs The Post Office, you can’t help but be deeply moved by the shocking revelations and ongoing travesty that is the Post Office Scandal. It’s still dragging on after 20 years which as an observer is heart-breaking, but must be unimagi ..read more
