Our Spring letter writing competition (which ran from 18th March until 14th April) saw hundreds of writers send in their Spring-packed letters to us. We were delighted with the quality as well as the quantity and it was a tough job selecting a winner. Thankfully our guest judge, Natalie Woodward, found one that she couldn’t get out of her head. It was a fabulous five page letter from our regular writer, Inga, who lives in South Africa and found us last year. Inga wrote about the comparisons of Spring time in South Africa and Europe - with lots of beautiful illustrations to bring it to life ..read more

And it seems everyone else loves to hear about it too after their story of writing together for us made headlines last weekend - with it featuring in The Independent, The Evening Standard, The Daily Mirror and 150 other regional and national news outlets! The Jourdain family are the perfect advert for encouraging other families to get together to write for us. They wanted to support their eldest daughter, Isla, with her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award - where she had put herself forward to write letters f ..read more

A letter fit for a King
From Me To You Blog

As we sadly know, cancer can affect anyone. With King Charles facing his own battle with the disease, we wanted to reach out to him and offer up some of our lovely letters (donated to us by our fab writers) to spread a bit of joy. We’ve always said that regardless of the patient’s support network, cancer can be a lonely and isolating battle. King Charles is no different. We hope he receives our letters, enjoys immersing himself in them - and can escape the thought of cancer for a few minutes. He may even (like many of our recipients) decide to become a writer for us and play forward the joy t ..read more
