Hard brake pedal after sitting overnight

On my 2015 Expedition the brake pedal is extremely hard to press in the morning. You can't even depress it 1/16th of an inch. Once you start it the pedal sinks down and if you stop the engine the pedal feels normal for the rest of the day. I did a search on it and I found that it could be a problem with the brake vacuum booster check valve. They say that it could not be holding vacuum and that's why the brake pedal is super hard in the morning. Does anybody have any experience with this or... Silencer rings?

The last turbo vehicle I had was a Dodge Cummins pickup. Dodge had put a silencer ring on the input of the turbo to quiet it down. That was a very popular mod to go in and remove the c-clip and pull the silencer ring out. That gave you a little more turbo whistle or noise. My question is, is there any type of silence or ring that is on the input of the turbos of the EcoBoost? If nobody knows, can anybody provide me a link too the expanded view of the parts list regarding the turbochargers ..read more

I noticed in my 2015 EcoBoost Expedition that the intake tubes coming from the separate turbos are different sizes. Are the turbos themselves different sizes so one can spool up quicker and provide better low end throttle response? And if not, why the different size tubes coming to the airbox ..read more

I have a 2015 Expedition with a 3.5 EcoBoost. I want to keep it as close to stock as possible but I do like a little intake turbo sound. (I like hearing turbo sound out of the exhaust also but I'm in California so forget about it) So I removed the intake silencer rings / veins and I'm about to do the VTA mod. But I'm wondering if there are any air box mods that people are doing or switching over to a cold air intake to hear more of the turbo out of the intake. Now I'm kind of wondering about... Wife is in the market for a used large SUV. We have 5 children between 3-14. So we need a full size.we had an Escalade ESV which had tons of power and towing capability but had its own problems so now need something newer. Wife wants another Escalade but I'm being hesitant on it. A lot of forums are saying Expedition MAX. I'm not a any brand fan boy. Just want something reliable that can handle snowy unplowed roads in the winter and not be a maintenance nightmare. I have the capability... Expedition vs the competition ..read more

Help, I have a 2018 Expedition. I have had sluggish slow downs at red lights and car registers a misfire code. I changed the plugs, coil packs, wires, re-gapped plugs correctly, and still have the problem of every other week as slowing down for red light. The car gets sluggish and misfires and flashes a code. Shut the car off and then turn it back on and we are off and going again for a week or so until the next episode. Have so far stumped 2 mechanics. ANY HELP ..read more

Not exactly an Ecoboost problem, maybe, but strange clicking noise after unlocking my Expedition

So, just in the last day or two, when I use my remote or keypad on the door to unlock my 2015 Expedition, it makes a clicking sound (like once ever 1/2 second) for about 10-15 seconds, then stops. I've not put the key in the ignition, nor pushed any other buttons, nor opened a door. Very odd. When I fire up the vehicle everything is running fine. Could this be a stuck relay ..read more

New here/tried to search before posting this...read a number of posts about p0299 in earlier year models and specifically regarding the BOV with the orange seal having a tear/hole. It looks like the 2018 has an updated part and I'm wondering if anyone has found this same issue? backstory - this car has been a problem since we got it. 120K miles. Cam phasers replaced twice, turbo lines, coolant leaks, etc. Driving home from the beach this weekend we're in interstate traffic, let off gas... 2018 Expedition - P0299 ..read more

Hello all, Have been using this forum for its wealth of information for about 3 years now; the collective community has been very helpful with my ownership and maintenance of my 2015 Expedition which has countless commonalities with the 2011-2014 F150. Currently located in Fort Campbell KY but moving soon. What got me to join now is primarily that I have some parts I’d like to sell, haven’t really had a need before since you can find basically anything with the search function. I’ve... 2015 Expedition: Long time reader, just joined ..read more
