Scuba diving courses have three important components, dive theory (e-Learning), skills training (often in confined water) plus practical assessments in the open water. Beginner courses typically have more focus on basic dive theory and confined water training sessions. Then once you are ready and have mastered your core skills you will progress to the open water and continue your training.
