The Blue Jays' road trip had a promising start but came to a screeching halt in Kaufman Stadium. In what could have been a sweep in San Diego, was nonetheless a series win for the Blue Jays. Kansas City had the potential to be another series win or a 2-2 split. After taking the first game and a lead into the 7th inning of the second game. It can be said that the Blue Jays limped into the Postseason, with a win and a loss by the Seattle Mariners. It can also be said that anything can happen once you're in. The Blue Jays lost 2 of 3 to the Tampa Bay Rays to close out the season, slipping to the WC3 position and will now face the Minnesota Twins in the WCS. The Blue Jays managed to take 2  games in Tampa Bay only to return home and get shut out in two consecutive games against the Yankees. Salvaging the final game and flipping the script on the Yankees; the Blue Jays win the final game of the series reducing their magic number to clinch a playoff position down to 2. Had the Texas Rangers managed to hang on and defeat the Mariners, the Blue Jays would have that magic number down to only 1. The Blue Jays were able to sweep the Boston Red Sox before heading to the Bronx. By winning the final 6 games against Boston, they managed to salvage the season series, or at least make it look a bit more respectable. The final 12 games of the season, see the Blue Jays play 3 in New York and 3 in Tampa Bay. They will then return home to face the Yankees and Rays to close out the 2023 regular season. The Blue Jays were able to return home and swept the Kansas City Royals, with a little luck. In what many, myself included, called the most important series so far this season, they were swept in four games against the Texas Rangers. Outscored 35 to 9 in the four games, being shut out 10-0  and losing 9 to 2 in the final 2 games. They return home to face a team that has the second-worst record in the American League and then play the team that is only a half-game back of them for the last wild card position.
