We need trains bad.

We need to build a high speed rail connecting madison and milwaukee. Are there any groups trying to advocate for this? I want to join/help. Im so tired of sitting in traffic trying to go home to madison to visit friends and family. Imagine being able to hop on the train from Milwaukee or Madison. Brewers, bucks, concert venues, madison college teams. We could reduce traffic significantly and stick a bar on that thing too. Curve dui arrests, wreckless driving, in a more efficient way. Could even take day trips. Also this would be so successful it would make other cities in the us want to follo ..read more

Hilton Waterpark Mannequins

I remember in 2020, the Hilton had windows that you could look into to see the water park and I looked inside and there was a bunch of mannequins at random parts of the park. I distinctively remember looking in and seeing almost one that looked like a preacher on one of those children’s splash forts. Does anyone have any info if there’re still there or if they’re going to do anything with the waterpark?? submitted by /u/wildewhore [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Well, that's a new one! Happened today on 794 Southbound. I guess the Milwaukee Slide was getting stale ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Possibly moving to Tosa area, general questions

Good afternoon and happy Saturday! I've already done some searching on this subreddit, but most inquiries seem to be a year or two old now...figured I would ask in case anything is different now. I'll potentially be moving to the Tosa area for grad school in a few months. I already have a lengthy list of potential apartments to explore further, but wanted to get some local perspectives on good areas to look. I generally want to limit how much driving I have to do, like walkability (parks with some trails, restaurants close by, etc.), and something relatively quiet since I will be doing a lot ..read more

I am meeting a friend for drinks after work next week and am wondering about good happy hours in the area? Preferably somewhere quieter that doesn’t blast music so we can talk and catch up. My old go-to was Balzac and I’m still sad that place closed. submitted by /u/Brewguy86 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

There was a St. Francis Brewery that closed about four years ago. I loved their beer and miss it. Does anyone know if their former brew master is still in the area working for a brewery? I'd love to get some of his or her beer again. submitted by /u/blakesteiner [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I am looking for a place where they charge a fair rate for full checkup of car (Nissan, if it helps) my parents bought from their friends, and wanted some peace of mind for them. Looking for a shop that doesn't try to trick me by quoting too many issues. Thank you! submitted by /u/7gas [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
