Has anyone checked?
After watching the recent carwow of Matt Watson running out of juice in a field, and recovery could screw the tow eye into the rear bumper.
I thought nothing of it then until today. Front bumper is ok, pop the cover, can see the emergency wires to pop the hood and then see the hole for the tow eye thread.
Pop the cover on rear but apart from some plastic, no thread!
I do have tow hook option, but can't see why that would change this ..read more

Received a call from my wife yesterday, she was in a flap because she couldnt get into our model Y despite her bluetooth being enabled on her phone.
I instructed her to use her phones rfid on the door pillar to get access, and again in the keycard position to start and drive the car. This was successful.
So this morning I investigated, and yes, the car will not recognise her phones bluetooth for access.
I have been around in circles checking numerous things but still unresolved.... here...

A family members credit card has plunged down the hole in the seat where the centre rear seatbelt holder is.
Its impossible to get fingers down here to retreive it.
Can anyone advise how to remove the rear seat cushion to enable retreival of the card? Unlike the model 3 which has 2 retaining screws to remove, then pull-up the front edge and pull it out, i cannot find any similar securing method ..read more

My front bumper had a knock and has cracked. Has anyone bought a bumper from Ebay to get it resprayed? They seem cheap and not sure if it is the same OEM product.

As a previous model 3 owner (2021) I loved it and wasn't keen on the model Y as I didn't like it's proportions (purely my taste on its look). I wasn't overly bowled away by the revisions of the 2024 model 3, just didn't seem like a big enough change for a refresh.
However the revised front and rear of the 2025 model Y appear to be completely different to the 2024 model 3 and honestly I genuinely really like it if it's gonna go into production looking like today's photos.

I picked up my new Berlin-built Model Y LR RWD in Glasgow on Friday and having done nearly 500 miles (mixed driving but quite a bit of motorway and A-Road) it’s averaging 309mWh/mi or roughly 3.3 miles per kWh whereas my old Model Y RWD with the 58kWh LFP battery averaged 243mWh/mi over 49,800 miles. With all-season tyres on. To hit it’s claimed range of 371 miles it needs to average 209mWh/mi so it’s miles out.
Im not entirely sure why I thought putting a 50% (bigger capacity and heavier)...

We’re new to Tesla, and have had our Model Y for a little over a fortnight. We’re coming from VW: an eGolf and Touareg. I thought I would share some thoughts. I have personally found this forum (and the VW Touareg one) very helpful, so hopefully this might be useful for some.
TLDR: Great car so far, still working through some of the differences and have some questions.
Whilst we are not new to EVs - our eGolf is fully electric but being a Golf is like a...
