I currently have a Tesla EV and a Zappi charger at home. I am on Intelligent Octopus Go tariff so that I can charge my Tesla at night time on the low tariff rate. I’m thinking of getting another Tesla EV for my wife. Is it possible to charge the new Tesla with the same Zappi charger on different nights ..read more

Transporting pedal/e bikes with Model Y

Anyone transporting bikes with Model Y? How are you doing it? Photos please? Official method is tow hitch rack, but tow hitch is rather expensive and makes charging/parking difficult. Roof rack is quite hard to get up there and the bars are very ugly. Wife don't like them. Suction cups further back over back half of roof and hatchback glass? As my son goes from kiddie 14 inch to bigger bike this year, I expect it can no longer fit in the boot. I would also like to buy a bike and ride... Transporting pedal/e bikes with Model Y ..read more

Hi all Today I've just accepted delivery for my brand new Model Y! ? I haven't yet got access to the Tesla app, I've contacted my lease company (Vanarama) about when I can expect to receive login details and they've told me it's normally sent within 1-2 days of delivery. Just wanted to know if there any things you'd recommend or things you wish you did when you first got yours. I've got a few videos to watch this eve including a thorough V11 walkthrough vid which should help me... First things to do with my new Tesla ..read more

Any tips on what is must have accessories? What are not necessary? I'm getting MIC Y LR beginning of September, just buying stuff to hopefully prevent problems down the line and make life with young children easier. The OEM centre console trays seems like a no brainer, otherwise no where to store small stuff. The rear... Model Y must-have accessories ..read more

MY Windscreen Wipers

There are frustrating things with the Y, but for me the wipers are not one of them. To start with, probably the most fundamental measure of the wipers, the amount of the screen that gets cleared is just brilliant. The driver's wiper blade goes full to the top and side of the screen. The second blade then fills in the gaps. The end result is that only the arc on the passenger's top corner is left unwiped. I must emphasise, that literally every part of the glass is cleaned, all the way to... MY Windscreen Wipers ..read more

I test drove a model Y yesterday as I'm considering changing to one from my model 3. I have a question for model Y owners.... can the rear seat squab be removed (easily)? In the model 3 there are just 2 catches under the front edge to flip, then the squab can easily be removed by tilting the front upward and then pulling forward and disconnection of the 2 electrical connection blocks. I did ask the Tesla rep but he didn't know ..read more

Dealer fit tow hitch

Anyone had one fitted after delivery? Looked on Tesla's website and they can be ordered for around £1200 but out of stock. Wondered if thats been a permanent status. I've gone for a great lease deal for £367/month +VAT on a Std Range RWD Y. My yearly driving means there's only 1 trip a year I do which is further than real world 210 miles. But they only had prebuilt cars with no tow bar fitted. Thought I'd chance getting the tow bar later as they are usually around £440/month + VAT so the... Dealer fit tow hitch ..read more
