I am looking at getting a second hand Pajero. There are currently two options: 1999 with 140k on the clock (and 1 owner) or a 2004 with 204k on the clock (a new import). Both have unknown service history, but are in good condition (bar some rust on the 1999 and some ticking on the 2004). Question is what to go for? A newer model or lower mileage? Thanks ..read more

Hi I recently purchased a new clutch slave cylinder for my 1992 Pajero V20 TD, and when I was moving the unit around, a small spring and cap fell out of it. Just wondering which of the two ports it goes into, and how it is to be orientated? Let me hear your thoughts. Thanks James ..read more

Pajero turbo manual clutch problem? Noticed the clutch pedal has gone to the floor , no fluid leak. Other problem is when i am looking under the car before i fit the new master cylinder notice the Slave cylinder has no free play . Does this mean when the clutch is worn/low the rod is too long , needs to be shortened because the slave cylinder has bottomed out. the slave cylinder has no free-play , it should have some free-play? Otherwise the clutch is open and will slop which it did ..read more

Hello, I recently received a check engine light along with my transmission stuck in 3rd gear when in drive while on a road trip. The code my OBD2 read was P1751 - TCM detected a fault in the automatic transmission control relay circuit or something along the lines of that. The recommended action is to replace the A/T control relay behind my passenger side kick plate. Upon investigation, my Montero Sport has two relays connected to the same circuit with both having the same part number. I am... 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport XLS 3.5L rare part help ..read more

Hi all, I bought a Montero v77 recently. In the ignition check engine, srs and seat belt bulbs are not lighting up. When I checked in the pannel SRS bulb has been removed probably by the previous owner due to an error and not fixing it. There are few airbag errors when I do the scan also. Check engine and seat belt bulbs are working when I checked with a multimeter. Any one have an idea about this ..read more

Hi everyone! New here. So, my MK1 4G54 (441,000 km) has been giving me this problem for months now. It comes and goes, and there is literally no specific situation in which I know it will happen. It has been looked at by 4 mechanics, including one specialized in Pajeros. But the problem persists, not as often as before, but it is still there. This is what happens. All of a sudden, no matter the speed, inclination, engine temp, oil pressure or whatever, the engine begins to stutter, lose... Need Help! Pajero/Montero MK1 4G54 What is going on ..read more
