This is my attempt to do my pre-trip report. This might change into just the report. I will update with new posts, but they will have links in this main post. I guess I should explain the title. We had originally planned to go to Japan, but the big tsunami and nuclear reactor disaster happened in Fukushima. Our son was pretty young, so we decided to hold off. Then we tried again in 2022, but Japan was still closed. Tried in 2023, but stuff was still opening and getting off the ground. So... Read more ..read more

Just saw this article. They expect a 11% decline in attendance despite the new land in the business year running from 04/01/24 to 03/31/25. https://www.forbes.com/sites/caroli...-down-11-on-2019-despite-2-billion-expansion ..read more

First time to Japan

we are going on an adventures by Disney trip to Japan in June 2025 next year, and want to add on a Disneyland stay after. I see how difficult it is to get rooms or packages. I was thinking of staying at Hilton Tokyo bay, which is right next to Toy Story hotel. I assume we can use monorail. Also, I would then just need to get park tickets and any reservations. What am I missing out on doing so, and is this a good plan for a first timer ..read more

Booking TDR Hotels

I'd like to book four nights at FS for next April. How difficult is it to secure the first night(s), since those rooms would presumably be booked already by the date my four-month booking opens? This is kind of like the DVC "walking" conundrum, or securing popular tables at WDW restaurants early in the week of the trip, no ..read more

Tokyo subway pass or Suica card?

I’m trying to finalize all my plans for our Japan trip next month. On Klook I came across a Tokyo subway card that is unlimited for 24, 48 or 72 hours and seems easier than getting a Suica card and having to load money on it. We already have JR rail passes too so do we need a Suica card too if we buy the subway passes instead? I also have a wise card which we will be using for other purchases and ATMs while in Japan. Thanks ..read more

Transit Question

When using a Suica card, app, or just regular monorail or train ticket, does each person need his/her own card/phone? I live near DC, and when my son and I ride Metro, we share one Metro card, and I pass it back to him after I've swiped myself through. Is that okay to do in Japan? Thanks ..read more

Are you able to modify the experiences you select for the vacation package after you book the package; e.g., either change the actual experience or the time? How does it work with "attraction tickets, without designated experience/time"? Do you get to use this once on one of the listed attractions or can you use it as many times as you want with the listed attractions ..read more

October 2024 - honeymoon trip

Hi everyone, Absolute newbie here so please go easy on me! I'm October this year my husband and I are finally taking our honeymoon to Japan. We've booked the flights so now the fun part happens, the planning! We are planning on squeezing a lot in to 14 days but one of my essentials is visiting Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea - and I'd love to do this staying on site. I've been trawling the official TDR page and going through the reservation process without clicking the button. A few... Read more ..read more
