Has anyone come across their Triton seats fraying, have a 2019 that is fraying at the stitching, I have asked Mitsubishi too look at this under warranty but want to see if this is a common issue? The Triton so it isn't heavily used, has 66,000km on it so roughly 15K per year and I don't carry tools or anything substantial in my pockets in any case it isn't fraying where my body touches ..read more

Really new to this all so sorry if this has been discussed or if I’m asking in the wrong place. I have a 2017 triton gls sports. I’ve recently tried to wire up my oricom uhf390 and every way that I’ve tried (cig socket, main battery, secondary battery, fuse adapter into the fuse box behind the glove box) The uhf just keeps flashing on and off when engine is fully on. UHF seems to stay on when just on accessories but have no signal at all. Wondering if it’s a voltage issue with my car or I... Read more ..read more

Hi everyone, I'm hoping that someone can help me. My 2005 Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R Manual 3.0L Petrol vehicle has a flashing 2WD light when in 2WD. The 4WD is working properly and so is the 2WD so no issues there. Sometimes when I switch to 4WD, the light stays illuminated, other times it will disappear but will still be in 4WD. Same thing happens in 2WD. Sometimes, the light is flashing, sometimes it disappears and then will reappear after driving for a few minutes. I have not experienced... Read more ..read more

Hey everyone, It’s probably been 5-6 years since I last posted on this forum, my MQ triton really went on the back burner and became a city driver and not much exciting was done with the car. I’ll post a thread elsewhere in regards to new plans etc but here is my review on my recent exhaust upgrade. Firstly, I didn’t buy/install this exhaust for much more than bringing my EGT down for when I tow and when I hopefully tune this car in a couple of months time. I installed it with my mate who... Hey all Currently on my 2000 MK Mitsubishi Triton, I'm running 30x9.5x15 A/T and I do go off road with the 4wd club every month. I'm looking at putting on 33x11.5x15 M/T on globe mags on it since getting a set off a mate for $500 (it does fit well, just got to adjust the mudflaps). Has anyone done the same kind of thing and had any issues (legal wise / mechanical wise ..read more

Morning all; At the outset...talking about a manual 2012 twin-cab Diesel GLX Triton here. And It's got over 350,000 on the clock. For the first time since I've owned the beast, I noticed a couple of drops of oil on the garage floor the other day, underneath the engine. Never a good sign. First thing - checked the oil level. Just a hair's breadth below full. So far, so good. Out came the ramps, up went the ute, and ignoring the creaking and cracking of the joints (mine...) under it I got... Read more ..read more

Hi everyone I’m looking to get my 03 mk v6 petrol dual cab Mitsubishi triton setup to hit some 4x4 tracks I’m looking at some recovery gear and my options for rated recovery points at the front of the car as I’ve only got the factory tow/tie down points. I’ve searched for hours through the web with no success and even looked at swapping out the bullbar I have with a bar that has rated recovery points attached, only bar I can find for the mk that comes close is the xrox bar, but those...
